CAN’T GET THERE FROM HERE: PATH Train Closures, Weather Further Complicating An Absolute Mess of a Weekend in Hoboken

Due to scheduled repairs, the PATH Train to/from Christopher, 9th, 14th, 23rd, and 33rd Street stations is not running this weekend.

The only PATH Train service is coming in or out of World Trade Center. Service on the 33rd Street line resumes at 5:03 a.m. Monday morning.

Add this to the crushing level of road construction this weekend. Hoboken’s southern access is basically non-functioning, due to a clusterfunk caused by SUEZ reconvening its underground water installation project—with traffic woes reportedly being managed by the New Jersey State Police…

SUEZ is reportedly calling in the support of the New Jersey State Police for this project, with Hoboken mandating that there be at least a dozen officers on hand to help with traffic flow.

In addition to this project in the Southwest of Hoboken, NJDOT will be working on Route 495, which is the inbound link on Hoboken’s northern edge.

In addition to that, the City has announced that construction on Court Street will begin today.

In addition to that, Washington Street remains woefully behind schedule.

In addition to that, St. Ann’s Feast is this weekend, which will not only draw people to town but also close off a large section of town to traffic.

Now cue the flooding…
