FRIDAYS ARE FOR FRANK: “You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To” (Grazie Mille, Battaglia’s!)
Frank is a Hoboken institution.
The same could be said about Battaglia’s Home, which announced this week that it will be closing up shop after 25 years of serving Hoboken and all of Hudson County.
Battaglia’s Home grew along with Hoboken over the past quarter century—evolving to become a true household name among the regional retail scene. We’re grateful for all they’ve done to elevate this town over the years, and wish the staff and ownership nothing but the best in their next venture.
“You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To” is a popular song written by Cole Porter for the 1943 film Something to Shout About. Sinatra put his stamp on the tune for his 1957 album, A Swingin’ Affair!
We share this song today and raise our proverbial glass to Battaglia’s Home, who have been so nice to come home to for so many years.
Speaking of glasses (not-so-subtle plug coming)… check out their clearance sale—going on all weekend at their 1414 Willow Avenue store. Or simply stop by and thank them for all they’ve done over the years…
Salute!
