Renowned craftsman Joseph Curado has passed away at the age of 42.
Owner and artisan at Tribeca Grain, Curado became synonymous with his craft—known to most by the moniker “Joe Wood.” Respected and admired by those who have worked with him over the years, he has left an indelible mark on our area with his stunning home and commercial woodwork design. His impeccable craftsmanship is currently on display at a number of Hudson County’s best-known venues—including Grand Vin, Saku, Hamilton Pork, Cellar 335 and more.

One of the more ambitious and striking projects Curado worked on was the bar top he crafted for the recently renovated Hoboken American Legion Post 107.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Joseph ‘Wood’ Curado. Joe was a Son of the American Legion and someone who touched many lives in Hoboken, Jersey City and Northern New Jersey through his business, Tribeca Grain, and infectious spirit,” said John Carey, Commander
Hoboken American Legion Post 107.
“When we rebuilt Post 107, we turned to Joe and his talents to build a custom bartop and tables for our new home. He leaves behind craftmanship which will long be remembered and celebrated. Everyone involved with Hoboken American Legion Post 107 shares their condolences with Joe’s family and many friends. May God bless him and keep him.”
