COPA AMERICA CENTENARIO 2016 — Is Hoboken About to Get Messi???

While the USMNT will play for third place on Saturday against Colombia in Arizona, the Copa America Centenario 2016 championship between Chile and Argentina will take place on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium here in New Jersey.

International soccer teams passing through the area traditionally stay at the W Hotel on the Hoboken waterfront, as was the case with Colombia last week.

Word on the street is that World #1-Ranked Argentina will be staying here in the Mile Square City—among them the world’s most celebrated footballer, Lionel Messi.

Representatives from the W Hotel have declined to comment on the specifics involving their weekend guests, only to say that the Hotel will be closed to the public, and only registered guests will be allowed on the property.

Hopefully Selección Argentina will have a chance to step out and enjoy all that Hoboken has to offer… like Empanadas Café — specializing in Argentinian cuisine.

Then they could stop by Mulligans on Saturday for some of the Euro 2016 matches.

Hope to see you there, amigos. No hard feelings about Tuesday night…
