OUT OF THE DARKNESS: Walk to Fight Suicide — SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27
The annual Hoboken Out of the Darkness Community Walk, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention New Jersey Chapter will be held at 9:00 A.M., Sunday, October 27th at Stevens Institute of Technology – Babbio Center Deck.
Funds from the walk will support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s research, education and support efforts and will help the organization achieve its bold goal to reduce the annual U.S. suicide rate by 20 percent by the year 2025.
The Hoboken Out of the Darkness Community Walk is one of more than 550 Out of the Darkness Walks nationwide. The walks will bring together more than 300,000 walkers and raise millions for suicide prevention efforts. Last year the Hoboken Walk, raised over $30,000 with 600 participants. This year the goal is $36,000.
