FATAL ACCIDENT: Man Struck on Hoboken’s Observer Highway Has Died
A man who was struck crossing Observer Highway last week has reportedly succumbed to his injuries.
According to NJ.com, Hoboken resident William Rivera, 60, was hit on January 3rd. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with officials. Rivera had been in critical condition at Jersey City Medical Center since the accident. Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari announced on Thursday that Rivera has since passed away.
Hoboken’s Observer Highway was recently redesigned, with bike lanes, turning lanes and a pedestrian path for enhanced safety.
