Fridays Are For Frank: “Angel Eyes” (feat. Bruce Springsteen)
Frank. Bruce. Jersey.
Enough cannot be said about the cultural impact of these icons, who put on their vagabond shoes and sprung from cages on Highway 9 to conquer the world—all while staying true to their Garden State roots.
Before he was playing 4-hour concerts in the Meadowlands, Bruce Springsteen was a kid down the shore listening to Frank Sinatra on jukeboxes.
In what may well be the Jersey-est moment in music history, Bruce discusses the impact of Frank’s legacy on a young Jersey boy, as he sings “Angel Eyes” at the Chairman’s 80th birthday special in 1995.
This clip is as satisfying as a Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwich… Enjoy!!!
