GARDEN STATE AGGRO CULTURE: When It Comes To Stress, New Jersey is #1
They say it takes pressure to make a diamond… well then shine on, New Jersey—because we’re number one.
According to career website Zippia.com, New Jersey tops the list of “Most Stressed Out States in America.”
The Garden State achieved this distinction thanks to its long commute times, levels of unemployment, number of hours worked, population density, home price to income ratio, and percent uninsured population.
Add in the taxes, crumbling infrastructure, endemic political corruption and the fact that we’re the nation’s punchline for antisocial behavior, and you get a better idea why Jersey has a bit of an edge to it.
Georgia, Florida, California and New York round out the top five states with stress issues.
The top three least stressed states are Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota. They also have terrible bagels, so the choice is yours…
