Hoboken Teen Charged With Attempted Murder As Juvenile Suffers Multiple Stab Wounds

Updating a story we initially reported yesterday

Hoboken Police responded to a stabbing incident at the corner of 6th & Jackson Streets at approximately 3:43 p.m. on Wednesday.

Emergency Service Unit (ESU) Sgt. Luke Zeszotarski pursued the 16 year-old suspect and apprehended her near 540 Marshall Drive. Meanwhile ESU Officer Duke McCourt tended to the victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds.

The victim, a juvenile from Jersey City, suffered four stab wounds and is currently in stable condition at a local hospital.

The suspect, who is a 16 year old female from Hoboken, was taken into custody and brought to Hoboken Police Headquarters. She faces charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Resisting Arrest (no officers injured).

While there is no official motive given, the incident is being described by Hoboken Police as a “dispute.”
