Mortgage Market in Review:

We’ve seen upward pressure on mortgage rates this week, as there has been a slight sell-off in the bond market. It has become clear that the volatility is due to the uncertainty of who will be the President’s choice to lead the Federal Reserve. Traders and analysts are anxiously waiting for his decision, which is expected any time prior to November 3rd. Until the announcement is made, expect continued volatility in the bond market. In turn, mortgage rates may be bounce a little. Though, most analysts don’t see them drifting too far out of their current range.
