Konstantinos Babalis, Longtime Malibu Diner Owner, Has Passed Away

The iconic Malibu Diner, owned and operated by the Babalis family for decades, has welcomed generations of guests to their spot at the northern entrance to Hoboken.

Konstantinos Babalis—who took over the former 14th Street Diner after moving to Hoboken from his native Greece in 1979—passed away at the age of 80 last week, his family has announced.
