Hoboken’s grand mutz tradition is legendary, with folks traveling from far and wide to get some of the freshest, creamiest, gooey goodness in the world. Mutzfest came about as a way to acknowledge the world-class craftsmanship of our local Italian delis. The event was initially a contest to crown the best mutz in Hoboken—but when that got too contentious (true story), the decision was made to make it an overall celebration of the glory that is mutz.
