***UPDATE: due to the forecast of steady rain on Sunday, the Arts and Music Festival has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.***
As we all know by now, it’s been 50 years since Woodstock—and for 25 of those years the outdoor music festival has lived on here via the Hoboken Arts & Music Festival.
This Sunday, the event features a stellar line up of musicians along with over 300 artists and crafters exhibiting their work amidst great food and plenty of kids activities.
Headlining this year’s event is the always “Hot! Hot! Hot!” Buster Poindexter (a.k.a. David Johansen), who has ridden the music wave from pioneering proto-punk days with New York Dolls, becoming a household name (alias) in the 80’s with monumental commercial success, and continuing to wow audiences with his energetic and engaging crooner/R&B act—which is sure to play well to crowds in Hoboken.
Joining him on the festival’s stages will be celebrated Hoboken rock icon Karyn Kuhl—plus Sonic Blume, Debra Devi, Joe Taino, James Calleo, Gene D. Plumber, Maxima Alerta, Granton Ave., Mariachi Artistico, Jeb Jones, All Saints Episcopal Day School & Bold Arts, Rest Ashore and more (full schedule below).
