ROLLING STONED: Hoboken Police Arrest Florida Man for DUI, New Jersey Man for Possession of Marijuana

At around 5:43 on Saturday, January 04, Traffic Supervisor Sgt. Edward Sellick observed a vehicle parked illegally Newark and Clinton Street. Passenger Christian Argueta, 18, of Guttenberg rolled the window partly down—at which point Sellick detected the odor of burnt marijuana and observed a cigarillo on the dashboard of the vehicle.
Officer Tyrone Huggins arrived on scene and as Argueta was placed under arrest. Meanwhile the operator of the vehicle Sebastian Martinez Urena, 21, of Tampa, FL, returned to the vehicle and was observed to have bloodshot and watery eyes. Officer William Bullock and Officer Joseph Spano arrived to assist, at which point Sellick had Urena go through a standardized field sobriety test. Urena was determined to be unable to operate a motor vehicle safely and was placed under arrest.
Argueta was charged with Possession of CDS Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia and he was transported to the Hudson County Jail. Urena was charged with Possession of CDS Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Meanwhile, he also received motor vehicle summons for DUI, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Improper Parking and Blocking Crosswalk. He was eventually released to a responsible party.
The above defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
