SEEGER CENTENNIAL: Celebrating the Life & Music of Pete Seeger — THURSDAY, JUNE 6th on His Beloved Hudson River Waterfront

Pete Seeger was born 100 years ago, on May 3rd.

In addition to his fundamental contributions to the American musical landscape, Seeger was also a steadfast environmentalist who worked tirelessly for the betterment of the Hudson River—until his passing in 2014 at the age of 94.

Fittingly, the city of Hoboken will present a free concert paying tribute to Seeger on Thursday, June 6th at Sinatra Park, with the Hudson serving as the backdrop.

Hosts Demolition String Band, featuring Elena Skye and Boo Reiners, will perform along with Richard Barone, Karyn Kuhl, Queen Esther, Emily Turonis, Kate Jacobs, Gene D. Plumber, Glenn Morrow, Jon Fried & Deena Shoshkes (of The Cucumbers and The Campfire Flies), Tiphanie Doucet, Sean Kiely, Nick Conte, Gary Van Miert (of The Sensational Country Blues Wonders), Edward Horan, Perry Dale Brody, Cole Quest, Tom Costagliola, Kenny Kosek, Tracy Stark, Abbe Rivers and Dave Calamoneri.
