Sunday Morning Hurling in Hoboken — Galway v. Kilkenny @ MULLIGAN’S
As the Irish sport of hurling continues its surge in popularity here in Hoboken, the GAA Senior Hurling Championship takes center stage in Dublin’s Croke Park this Sunday.
While it may be a bit late to score a seat on the north side of Dublin, you can try your luck finding a barstool at Mulligan’s.
Sunday’s match-up between Galway and Kilkenny will be shown at Mulligan’s (159 First Street), with the sliotar dropping at 10:30 a.m.
A steadily improving Galway squad look to bring a serious challenge to the perennial hurling chieftains of Kilkenny, bringing an “any given Sunday” feel to a match that will hopefully live up to expectations.
For those unfamiliar with the sport, fret not—there will surely be some representatives from the Hoboken Guards Hurling Squad on hand to explain the nuances of the game.
Meanwhile, the Irish breakfast alone is worth rolling out of bed at the top o’ the mornin’.
