FRIDAY. MAY 19th.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS…

Our friends at HobokenLife.com have shared a Trader Joe’s press release detailing the events surrounding our city’s much anticipated store opening in the Harlow Building, at 14th & Willow.

The store will feature festive décor, mixing traditional Trader Joe’s cedar-covered walls and Hawaiian-inspired elements with a local flare, including art that celebrates the neighborhood.  Throughout the grocery store, there are several colorful hand-painted murals that pay homage to the Stevens Gatehouse, Castle Point, Sinatra Park, Hoboken Terminal, and more.

And they’ve also named the store’s “captain”:

Trader Joe’s is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Bilyk as the Captain (Store Manager). Linda comes to the new store from our Paramus location and has been with the company for more than 14 years.

The ‘Trader’ in Trader Joe’s refers to the way the company blazed a distinct trail through the grocery industry, searching the world for great values and distinctive products. Store employees, dubbed ‘Crew Members,’ consider themselves ‘traders on the culinary seas.’ Some Crew Members sport brightly colored Hawaiian-themed shirts, adding to the friendly and light-hearted air of the store.

We at hMAG anticipate a strong turnout, and perhaps even a run on the Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bars.

Oh, the humanity…
