1DAY HOBOKEN: Massive Community Outreach Event from Hoboken Grace — SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th
Changes will be taking place around town as Hoboken Grace Community Church prepares to host its seventh annual 1Day event. Hundreds are expected to take part in making Hoboken better through a day devoted to community service. The event takes place on September 30th.
“This event allows us to build relationships with people in our community. It’s an opportunity for people to come together and work alongside each other. Many of us in this city don’t know our neighbors and this has been a great way to build those relationships. We have been able to build relationships with local organizations while improving our city,” says Anthony Reimer, Outreach Director.
1Day will kick off at 301 Garden Street where volunteers will meet and then spread throughout Hoboken to spend a few hours working on projects for various organizations and schools serving our city. Then at 1:30pm after the completion of the projects the volunteers will come back together for an after-party to celebrate what was accomplished in just one day!
Volunteers will work in small groups to help local organizations and schools; like the Hoboken Homeless Shelter, Mustard Seed School, and True Mentors; clean, paint, and organize. Hoboken Grace invites all of Hoboken to join together to serve our community.
To participate in 1Day, sign up at www.1DayHoboken.com or meet up on September 30th at 301 Garden St. at 10 a.m.
