Cake Break: Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken Closing for Renovations
Another Hoboken institution closing down? Don’t get your piping bag in a twist…
Washington Street’s famed Carlo’s Bakery, known as the headquarters of “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro, announced it will be “closing for renovations,” starting February 17.

“Our original bakery in Hoboken is where it all began,” said the bakery on their Facebook page. “After 100 years, we figured it was time for a facelift!”
The location will be temporarily closing from February 17th to early March. In the meantime, you can satisfy your fondant fix and place cake orders at other locations in Times Square, Westfield, Morristown, Ridgewood, Red Bank, Marlton or Las Vegas.
