A stellar selection of storytellers comes to Stevens this Saturday, as Adam Wade, Ophira Eisenberg and Peter Aguero bring their incredible talents to Hoboken.
Hometown hero/former hMAG coverboy Adam Wade is the winner of 20 SLAMS at The Moth. His stories have appeared on The Moth Radio Hour and The Moth Podcast. This spring, Adam released his second comedy/storytelling album Adam Wade Live at The Magnet Theater (which shot up to #2 on the iTunes Comedy Chart. His debut album Adam Wade: The Human Comedy (2015) was enthusiastically lauded in Sarah Larson’s profile of Adam in The New Yorker. Adam has been seen on HBO’s Girls and Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer.
Ophira Eisenberg is the host of the popular NPR show Ask Me Another, the author of the memoir, Screw Everyone: Sleeping My Way to Monogamy, and a longtime Host of The Moth StorySLAM. She has also appeared on Comedy Central’s Midnight, CBS’ Late Late Show, and HBO’s Girls, and has been featured in The New York Times.
Peter Aguero was born and raised in South Jersey. He is a Moth host and GrandSLAM champion and has been an instructor for The Moth Community Program. He currently spends most of his days making ceramics in Queens, while his most recent show, Daddy Issues, has been performed in the far reaches and middle grounds of North America.
These three tremendously accomplished storytellers will come together on one stage for one night of poignant and hilarious personal stories that explore the vulnerability and resilience of the human body and heart.
