Following reported complaints from residents regarding liquor stores, the Hoboken Police Department’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Unit conducted a citywide operation for serving underage patrons.
The January 5th operation was led by HPD Sergeant Charles Kucz and Detective Anthony Caruso, with the assistance of two undercover Jersey City Police Officers who are under the legal drinking age.
Of the twelve Hoboken liquor stores entered that evening, ten were cited for sale to someone under the legal age to purchase alcohol.
