BROKEN SILENCE: Hoboken Filmmaker Fights Back Against Bullying

Broken Silence is an anti-bullying film produced by My Way Produzioni LLC and written by Hoboken’s Frank Gigante.

Inspired by the growing number of bullying-related suicides making headlines worldwide, the film’s strong anti-bullying message is conveyed through Fran, a quiet teen frequently targeted by her peers.

“Bullying is something that everyone has experienced,” says Gigante. “It’s hard to think that so many beautiful young people aren’t here anymore because of bullying.”

Award winning Italian filmmaker Enrico Muzzi is co-directing with Gigante, joining the project like the rest of the crew and cast to be part of an important message against bullying.

Gigante recently shot a short docu-fiction Promo to help raise funds for the film, and interviewed Joe and Jane Clementi, the parents of bullying victim Tyler Clementi, who are very active in the fight against bullying with the Tyler Clementi Foundation.

Also featured are New Jersey State Police Sergeant First Class Gregory M. Williams, Jonathan Lucas with Hudson Pride (LGBT), bullying expert Wayne Soares and several victims of bullying. Broken Silence was filmed in Hoboken at the Blue Eyes Cafe, Court Street Restaurant and St. Francis Church.
