Breaking the Silence: Anti-Bullying Film Screening in Jersey City
Inspired by the growing number of bullying-related suicides making headlines worldwide, Hoboken’s Frank Gigante wrote and directed Breaking the Silence.
Tonight, the film will be screened at Port-O Lounge (268 First Street, Jersey City)
“Bullying is something that everyone has experienced,” says Gigante. “It’s hard to think that so many beautiful young people aren’t here anymore because of bullying.”
Tonight’s screening will include a live performance by Sicily Knight, while Joe and Jane Clementi, who are very active in the fight against bullying with the Tyler Clementi Foundation, will also be in attendance.
The film was shot at locations here in Hoboken, including Blue Eyes Cafe, Court Street Restaurant and St. Francis Church.
