FRIDAYS ARE FOR FRANK: “Witchcraft”
Composed by Cy Coleman with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, “Witchcraft” was recorded by Frank Sinatra in May 1957, in an arrangement by Nelson Riddle. The song reached number twenty in the U.S., spending sixteen weeks on the charts.
Years later, Sinatra married the… ahem… noticeably younger Mia Farrow. It was a turbulent romance from the get-go, as the couple were publicly scrutinized and ruthlessly hounded by the press.
Frank eventually filed for divorce from Mia, serving her the papers while she was on set filming Roman Polanski‘s 1968 horror classic, Rosemary’s Baby, where witches conspire to control Farrow’s unborn baby.
Speaking of babies, rumors continually circulate that Mia’s son—investigative reporter Ronan Farrow—is actually Frank’s son, to which Ronan famously replied:
Listen, we’re all *possibly* Frank Sinatra’s son.

Of course “it’s strictly taboo…”
Here’s Frank Sinatra, with “Witchcraft,” wicked witchcraft…
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
