Charity Date Auction at McSwiggan’s — THURSDAY @ 7
It’s time for swinging singles to get their game face on for tonight’s charity date auction at McSwiggan’s (110 First Street). Area locals are participating in the auction and all are invited to bid, be merry, and support a great charity.
All proceeds from the event will go to the scholarship fund for John Augustus Ferry, who was a well-known Jersey City fire fighter and former bartender at O’Donoghue’s in Hoboken. He died unexpectedly in August. The proceeds will help his surviving wife and child.
Some of the fantastic prizes to be raffled off with the dates include: gift certificates to area restaurants, horseback riding, skydiving, wine tasting, ballooning, and much, much more.
In addition, there will be gift baskets and a 50/50 drawing. Ask your bartender about charity donations.
The date auction starts at 7 p.m. There will be drink specials all night.
