City Council Seeks Input on Hoboken Rail Yard Redevelopment
Call it “the Gateway to the Garden State”—even if nobody else does…
The Hoboken Rail Yard Redevelopment is an initiative aimed at optimizing the space along the New Jersey Transit rail lines that carry hundreds of thousands of daily travelers in and out of Manhattan and Hoboken, to and from destinations throughout New Jersey and beyond.
The Hoboken City Council is seeking public input on the proposed plans for the Hoboken Rail Yard Redevelopment—reclaiming, restoring and revitalizing the area on Hoboken’s southern border along Observer Highway, as well as areas including and adjacent to the train station itself.
A special meeting will be held Wednesday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. to review the ongoing effort, allowing members of the public to contribute ideas and address concerns they may have before the plan’s final reading at the December 16 City Council meeting.
