Fridays Are For Frank: “Brazil” (2016 Summer Olympics Edition)
“Then, tomorrow was another day
The morning found me miles away
With still a million things to say…”
–Ryan Lochte???
No—that was Frank…
And while it’s unlikely that Lochte will return “to old Brazil” any time soon, the much maligned Rio Games have seen the competitive Olympic spirit shine through once again.
With the 2016 Summer Olympics coming to a close this weekend, we give a “Fridays Are For Frank” nod to the host of the games, as Frank was a big fan of Brazil—its Coffee, its Girl From Ipanema…
Sinatra was also a big fan of sports and athletes. His father was a boxer, after all.
Speaking of Hoboken athletes, we’re excited to welcome our hometown Olympian, Bronze Medal-winning fencer Dagmara Wozniak this coming Tuesday, August 23rd in the Living Room at the W Hotel—with a party hosted by Don’t Sit Home.
Congrats to Dagmara, Team USA, and ALL the athletes who have participated in the 2016 Summer Olympics. The games have proven to be a compelling experience—eternally inspirational.
“Now, when twilight dims the sky above
Recalling thrills of our love
There’s one thing I’m certain of
Return I will to old Brazil.”
