Fridays Are For Frank: “Luck Be a Lady”

Fridays Are For Frank: “Luck Be a Lady”

Posted on February 13, 2015 in hMOUTH, hNOW

Sure it’s nearly Valentine’s Day, so we COULD serve up one of Frank Sinatra’s more romantic melodies—“I’ve Got a Crush on You,” “Let’s Fall in Love,” “My Funny Valentine”…

But its also Friday the 13th, and we could all use a little luck.

“Luck Be a Lady” was written by Frank Loesser in 1950 and featured in the musical Guys and Dolls.

Brando sang the song in the 1955 film version, but it later became a signature song for Frank Sinatra.
