Fridays Are For Frank: “Style” (feat. Bing Crosby & Dean Martin) — New York Fashion Week
It’s New York Fashion Week… here are three of the most fashionable names of the 20th Century.
Robin and the 7 Hoods came out in 1964—directed by Gordon Douglas and starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Bing Crosby. The film takes the Robin Hood legend to a 1930s Chicago gangster setting.
Produced by Frank Sinatra, the film introduced the hit song “My Kind of Town” by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song and achieved a career of its own independent of the film.
But an underappreciated selection from the soundtrack is this little ditty, with Frank, Bing & Dean sharing their wisdom on lookin’ good.
Pay attention, Fashionistas…
