GREEN ACRES: Hoboken Farmers’ Market Rundown

Hoboken used to be farmland. Now the only thing that grows here is the population.

Of course that population needs to eat, and farm-fresh food will forever be in demand…

Good news is that it’s Farmers’ Market season here in Hoboken, with a number of options available for the urbanite who wants to enjoy the bounty of the Garden State:

• Midtown Farmers Market — Rummage & Ruffage is 9-2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Holy Innocents (6th & Willow)
• The Garden Street Farmer’s Market is also on from 9-2 Saturday at 14th & Garden.
• The Downtown Hoboken Farmers’ Market runs Tuesdays from 3-7 p.m. on Washington Street between Newark & Observer.
• Then on Thursdays, the Jersey Freshness moves to the Hoboken Uptown Farmers’ Market on 13th & Hudson Streets from 2-7 p.m.
