Hoboken Charter Schools Announce Admissions Lottery Deadline—THURSDAY, JANUARY 9th

Hoboken’s free public charter schools are accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year.

These mission-based, free public charter schools—Elysian Charter School, Hoboken Dual Language Charter School (HOLA) and Hoboken Charter School—are requiring applications to be submitted to each respective school no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2020. Those applications will then be entered into each school’s randomized lottery.

More information on each of the Hoboken charter schools as well as their applications can be found on their websites, linked in the paragraph above.

Meanwhile Hoboken Public Schools have seen significant spikes in enrollment—up 15% system-wide over last year. Through a dramatic restructuring, the district was able to accommodate all PreK registrants (nearly 1,000) for School Year 2019-2020 without a lottery.
