Just plain nosy???

The Hoboken Historical Museum is pleased to announce that tickets are available for one of Hoboken’s most popular Fall events, the Annual Hoboken House Tour, on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 10 am – 4 pm.

This year’s tour will feature nine private residences—including Victorian brownstones and brand-new condos, as well as converted factories and churches—plus a few bonus historic sites, graciously opened to visitors by Museum supporters to help raise funds.

Locations are kept secret until the day of the tour, but each year’s tour offers a fresh selection of homes with features that will appeal to fans of traditional, modern and eclectic décor. One home on this year’s tour dates to the 1860s, and retains much of the original ornate crown molding, staircase and fireplace mantels, complemented by contemporary furnishings. Situated on a crosstown street, the home’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer a unique view into the beautiful gardens of an uptown Bloomfield block.

Details: Tickets are $30 in advance; $40 on the day of the tour ($30 for Museum members). Advance tickets will be offered online from a link on the Museum’s website, www.hobokenmuseum.org.

The self-guided tour takes about two to three hours on foot. Houses open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Homes may be visited in any order. A map will be included in the House Tour booklet, available only on the day of the tour, at one of two starting points: The Hoboken Historical Museum, 1301 Hudson St., or the Fire Department Museum, 213 Bloomfield St. Ticket sales are limited, and tours have sold out in past years. No tickets will be sold after 2 pm on Oct. 30. Proceeds from ticket sales help support the Museum’s exhibitions and operations.
