Hoboken Man Arrested for Sexual Contact in Parking Garage
Hoboken Police Officers happened to be on the scene Friday morning to witness a defendant fleeing the Midtown Garage as a woman chased him, screaming for help.
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on March 22, 2019, Sgt. Nicholas Burke observed Justin Rubio, age 28 of Hoboken, leaving the parking garage with a woman chasing after him. As Rubio began to run, Sgt. Burke pursued him, with Rubio running into 333 Adams in an attempt to hide and escape the pursuing officers.
Back-up came, as PO Connor Milne and PO Christopher Barral entered the building and eventually apprehended Rubio.
Allegedly, Rubio had inappropriately touched the victim by grabbing her chest area and attempted to forcibly kiss her. He was transported to police headquarters for processing, for the charges of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, Burglary, Criminal Restraint, Criminal Trespass, and Resisting by Flight.
He was later remanded to the Hudson County Rehabilitation Center.
