In true Cinderella fashion, the Hoboken PATH station will turn into a proverbial pumpkin at the stroke of midnight on January 18 (Saturday), meaning anyone enjoying a Friday night out in the City may want to cut it short if they need to head back to Hoboken. The station will be closed to, “perform necessary signal equipment maintenance.”
PATH’s Hoboken Station will be closed from 12:01 a.m., January 18 until 5 a.m., January 20 to perform necessary signal equipment maintenance.
- NJ Transit will cross honor PATH riders on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail around-the-clock when Hoboken station is closed.
- Service will operate direct between JSQ-33 and will not stop at Hoboken.
- World Trade Center Station will be open. Service on the NWK-WTC line will be operating a normal weekend schedule.
While the Journal Square (JSQ) line will be running, riders should anticipate significantly higher than normal passenger volume and potential overcrowding.
Hoboken PATH is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday morning, January 20.
