KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE: New SixthBoro App Offers Realtime PATH Train Data
“Bing-boing.”
Doors close as you scamper down the stairs just in time to see your train drag itself off across the Hudson, thereby ruining your entire day.
We’ve all been there. But thankfully, now there’s an app for that.
Spotted on Reddit over the weekend, the people at SixthBoro are looking to make the experience of taking the PATH train a little easier by allowing the millions of people use the PATH on a monthly basis to quickly determine when their next train will arrive.
While the Port Authority already offers its own app, SixthBoro claims that theirs is a “quick, clean iOS application that helps PATH riders seamlessly check on train schedules. With SixthBoro, you can now set up notifications, favorite your frequent stations, and even check the PATH map for the corresponding schedule.”
Hopefully this will take some of the guesswork out of your next commute—letting you know if you have time to stop for that cup of coffee before your train arrives…
