Mother Nature Brings War on Christmas to Hoboken
The War on Christmas spares no one… not even local schoolchildren. But while you can’t blame religion for this particular skirmish, you CAN blame science—specifically that pesky meteorological branch.
Citing impending inclement weather in the form of a Nor’easter—which could potentially bring widespread flooding to coastal New Jersey, the City of Hoboken has moved to reschedule the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony originally slated for Tuesday, December 9 to Monday, December 15 at 5:00 p.m.
The event will take place at Hoboken City Hall (94 Washington Street) and will feature local schoolchildren and a variety of performers singing favorite Christmas songs with Host & MC, Elvis the Elf (intriguing…) and a very special appearance by Santa Claus.
