QUEENS OF SOUL: Supremely Talented Female Voices to Share the Stage at Maxwell’s

That’s a lot of power for one room…

ALEO Productions presents the “Queens of Soul”—five of Hoboken’s finest female divas on one stage, testing the structural integrity of the building that holds Maxwell’s this Friday night.

Coming off some jaw-dropping performances in The Hoboken Last Waltz, The David Bowie Tribute and The Amy Winehouse Engagement, singers Jaime DellaFave, Christina Alessi, Casey Solomon, Carolyn Monroe, and Sylvana Joyce will each will be engraving their own unique style on some of finest trophies in the genre.

“First and foremost, these five girls have such incredible voices and self-expression. And they are, so joyfully, five very different singers,” says ALEO Productions’ Jaime De Jesus. “This show is a great avenue for each of them to shine and be seen by the greater Hoboken audience.”

Backing up this powerful pentaverate will be the Sun Dogs Orchestra, featuring:

Ty Tuschen – guitar
Jeremy Beck – keys
Jaime DeJesus – bass
Johnny Roccessano – drums
Jim Bell – trumpet
Matt Lepek – tenor sax
Jeremy Hunt – baritone sax
Ben Krupit – trombone/flute/percussion
Sean-David Cunningham – strings

“I wanted to explore and share with an audience what it is about Soul music that is so glorious. Rooted in Gospel music and Blues,” says DeJesus. “I believe the style comes from a deeper, more spiritual understanding of the self, which, in turn, brings those expressions out and inspires the listener to experience deep joy and to weep and dance.”
