Sesame Street Songbook Concert to Feature Hoboken Musicians for Texas Flood Relief — TUESDAY NIGHT @ SHIPYARD PARK

Tuesday night at Shipyard Park (13th Street & McFeeley Drive), a number of Hoboken musicians will perform a Sesame Street Songbook Concert, celebrating the music of Joe Raposo.

As if that wasn’t cool enough, they’ll also be passing the hat around for Texas Flood Relief.

Hoboken artists such as Dana Harrison & Dave Lambert (of Fuzzy Lemons), Steve Teti, Abbe Rivers, Big Jeff, Erin Lee Kelly and more will be performing so many of your favorite Sesame Street songs (i.e. “C is for Cookie,” “Bein’ Green,” “Sing” and many, many others).

Meanwhile, as part of an ongoing initiative to raise funds for Texas Flood Relief, a cowboy hat will be passed around the crowd in hopes that anyone on hand will be able to pitch in what they can to help the good people of Texas who have lost so much over the past few weeks.

All money collected will be donated directly to a flood relief charity on the ground in Texas. Check back with hMAG.com for more details on upcoming gigs and fundraising totals. At the end of June, we will coordinate the delivery of funds with full disclosure right here on this website. (Any other Hoboken bands, venues, organizations interested in participating please email chris@hMAG.com)

Speaking of floods, the forecast calls for rain all day, but the skies should be clear just in time for the concert to kick off. Nevertheless, if it DOES rain, the entire show will mosey on over to Maxwell’s (1039 Washington)

So be ready to, “Sing, sing a song. Sing out load. Sing out strong…
