DONATIONS NEEDED — Hoboken Shelter Shopping List
The Hoboken Shelter (300 Bloomfield Street) has asked us to pass along a list of specific needs:
-Paper plates
-Plastic cups
-Proteins (beef, chicken, pork, turkey, fish)
Established in 1982, the Hoboken Shelter is a non-profit housing corporation made up of ministers and laity from houses of worship, as well as several Hoboken community leaders. The Shelter serves as a community partnership that provides meals for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, and services to support people to become housed.
The Hoboken Shelter typically houses 50 people each night and serves 500 meals each day.
Donations tend to slow significantly during the spring and summer months, so any help is greatly appreciated.
