CONNECTING WITH THE WATERFRONT: Hoboken’s Fund for a Better Waterfront to Host Open House—SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24
Fund for a Better Waterfront is hosting an Open House this Sunday, February 24 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Neumann Leathers Building (300 Observer Highway, 5th floor, Hoboken), featuring live music, mimosas, chocolate, and more!
With NY Waterway attempting to make use of Union Dry Dock on the Hoboken Waterfront, Fund for a Better Waterfront (FBW) looks to explain their concept for a High Line-caliber, fully connected public park along Hoboken’s riverfront.
The group first made an impact on the west bank of the Hudson by rallying for the creation of the city’s now world-renowned Pier A Park. Since then, they have been steadfastly involved with all issues concerning development, recreation, flood mitigation and public use of Hoboken’s most crucial asset.
FBW’s LOVE YOUR WATERFRONT Open House will give residents insight on initiatives and advocacy, as well as a look at all the work that goes into planning a world-class waterfront—including the original 1990 Plan for the Hoboken Waterfront and our 4’ x 12’ architectural model, hand-built by Hoboken residents.
Other treats are in store, including refreshments and live music.
