Devotion Yoga Hosts Renowned Instructors Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee

Devotion Yoga (12 Hudson Place, 2nd Floor, Hoboken) hosted internationally renowned instructors, Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee last night, as a part of a special yoga event.

“Over the years Devotion has had a mission of bringing the most experienced teachers to our community for classes, workshops and related events. We usually offer a variety of workshops that are focused on yoga, wellness, or personal development in addition to our weekly schedule of 45+ yoga classes,” says Liza Bertini, founder and studio director at Devotion Yoga. “Our experienced staff does host frequent workshops at the studio but we also invite guest teachers from outside of our community to come share their expertise with our students. Rodney and Colleen are very well-known and sought after instructors, so when they said that they would like to come to Devotion Yoga, we were thrilled!”

Rodney Yee has been instrumental in introducing to the United States. His appearance on Oprah in 1999, his vast output of videos with Gaiam, and his eloquent workshops around the world helped catapult Yoga into the mainstream. Colleen Saidman Yee is one of the most revered and recognizable faces in the world of yoga—featured in Vanity FairO: The Oprah MagazineNew York magazine, The Wall Street JournalAllureMarie-ClaireCosmopolitanHarper’s Bazaar Italia, and has been on the cover of Yoga Journal four times.

The class was open to all skill levels. “Rodney and Colleen are highly skilled teachers who will make the experience match any practitioner’s level of practice by offering modifications and variations of postures,” says Bertini.

For 13 years, Devotion Yoga has cultivated a large number of  passionate “devotees” here in the Hoboken area.
