FRIDAYS ARE FOR FRANK: “Spring Is Here”
“Once there was a thing called spring
When the world was writing verses like yours and mine…”
The irony of posting this song is not lost on us, with the weather we’re having.
Hopefully soon you can put away snow shovel for a garden spade, and swap out your lift ticket for a tee time. Because once all this snow melts, it’ll still be Spring.
So we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.
“Spring is Here” was composed by Richard Rodgers, with lyrics by Lorenz Hart. Originally written for the 1938 musical “I Married an Angel,” Frank Sinatra recorded it two decades later in 1958.
