Hipster Seal Soaking Up the Sun Off Pier 13 in Hoboken

Perhaps in an attempt to beat the crowd that lines up on Hoboken’s Pier 13 every weekend, a seal was spotted lounging in Shipyard Marina this afternoon.

Keen-eyed photographer Ryan Bensley broadcast these amazing images on twitter upon spotting the Harbor Seal.

These pics come days after The Hoboken Reporter ran a story about the Hudson River’s ecological recovery.

And based on woefully misguided non-scientific real estate polls, one can only assume that the seal is a “hipster,” seeking Hoboken’s superior coffee-to-yoga ratio.
