Mall Security Company Seeks Access to Personal Records of Hoboken Lawyer Murdered at Short Hills
Hoboken’s Dustin Friedland was murdered in a parking lot outside the Mall at Short Hills in December of 2013.
According to NJ.com, the law firm representing the mall’s security company is now seeking access to Friedland’s employment records as part of their defense in a resulting lawsuit.
His widow is now fighting the subpoena, on the grounds that it’s a needless intrusion into the personal lives of the victim and his family.
“It’s a complete blind alley and yet…they’re pushing this issue,” said Bruce Nagel, an attorney representing Friedland’s widow. “They’re needlessly looking at issues that are unrelated to the case.”
