ROCK ON THE ROCKS: The Latest Noise Presents Freddie Bourne, Brendan Hartnett, Julia Kirk & Kuz at Hoboken’s SW Park – TUESDAY, JUNE 19th from 6-8
The live music series in Hoboken’s Southwest Park continues Tuesday with a show produced by The Latest Noise, featuring performances by Freddie Bourne, Brendan Hartnett, Julia Kirk and Kuz.
Food will once again be provided by D’s Soul Full Café, with a special menu for the weekly events. Meanwhile, “refreshments” will be supplied this week by our good friends at Northern Soul.
Maxwell Feinstein—co-owner of Silver Horse Sound, a recording studio adjacent to the Southwest Park—who, along with a little help from his friends, looks to bring an infusion of live music to an otherwise quiet industrial corner of Hoboken.
“The concept is to find ways to use our new park for the betterment of the town’s culture by encouraging interaction over good food and music,” says Maxwell Feinstein—co-owner of Silver Horse Sound, a recording studio adjacent to the Southwest Park—who is coordinating the weekly concerts all summer long.
Last week’s inaugural event saw scores of attendees take in a great evening of entertainment from Michael Brown and the Majestic, plus The Prom Dates.
“The neighborhood hasn’t developed south of Paterson,” says Gregory Dell’Aquila, of the neighboring Hoboken Business Center , which is proud to be sponsoring the concert series along with Mission 50 Workspaces. “The park seems to be built for programming,” he adds. “We have always supported activity in the triangle south of Paterson and this is how to activate the park and the neighborhood.”
Additional support provided by Barsky Gallery, and the City of Hoboken.
The shows will run from 6:30 to 8:30 every Tuesday, with a stellar lineup of live music from some of our area’s best.
