Hoboken flooding has been an issue since Hoboken was built, sitting on the Hudson River delta at the base of the Palisades. Recent woes have been exacerbated, as construction continues to thrive in town. The issue has been a common theme spanning numerous contemporary administrations. The installation of pumps gave residents hope that the problem would be solved, but unfortunately that’s clearly not the case, as flooding returns with startling regularity—again, and again, and again…

Today’s flood warning lasts until 11:15.
Plz proceed around streets very carefully. High tide @weehawkennj & @CityofHoboken is 933am. Heavy rains have been hitting us for hours. Media reports state flooding on ALL major highways in the region. Plz don’t drive or walk (or Bike!) into waters where you cannot see pavement!
