St. Baldrick’s Day Event to Fight Cancer — SATURDAY @ Willie McBride’s
It’s getting warmer, so you could do with a haircut anyhow…
Why not do it for a great cause?
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which raises money and awareness for initiatives fighting childhood cancer, is holding an event this Saturday at Willie McBride’s (616 Grand Street).
More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease—more than many other childhood diseases combined. The idea behind St. Baldrick’s head-shaving campaign is to raise awareness and show solidarity with those fighting the disease.
Meanwhile, if the look is a bit too extreme for your tastes, there are numerous other ways to help out—including donations.
Stop by Willie McBride’s THIS SATURDAY from 2-6 p.m. to support friends and neighbors as they “Brave the Shave,” and see how else you can become involved.
