Latest Update on Hoboken’s Response to the Edgewater Fire

There are a lot of questions about how to best support our neighbors in Edgewater who lost their homes in that horrific blaze on Wednesday.

Right now, it seems the most comprehensive resource is EdgewaterStrong.com, a site that went live yesterday afternoon and offers the most up-to-date information on the logistics of donating to and/or volunteering for the effort.

Here in Hoboken, Century 21 Innovative Reality (220 Washington Street) is accepting NEW TOILETRIES and NEW UNDERWEAR through tomorrow afternoon.

By all accounts, the response has been overwhelming. Right now, the focus will shift from that of an immediate relief effort to finding long-term solutions for displaced residents.

To that end, the Madison Bar & Grill (1316 Washington Street) will be hosting a fundraiser on Monday, January 26 from 7-10 p.m.
