Hoboken’s The Fig Tree Closes Its Doors
As reported by HobokenMenus.com, one of Hoboken’s best fine dining establishments, The Fig Tree (306-308 Park Ave.) is closing up shop after a three-year run.
From the management at The Fig Tree:
We regret to inform you that The Fig Tree is closing its doors as of this evening. We would like to thank you, our customers, for your support and patronage.
We especially want to thank Chef Claude Chassagne and his staff, Andrew, Allejandro, Moises, Diego, Sandra and Christo for their creativity and dedication. These professionals have always strived to provide our guests with the finest dining experience. Of course, we must also thank our front of the house staff-our servers, hosts, bussers, runners and mixologists-Peter, Paul, Marius, Melie, Khalid, Ronald, Aioffe and Chris for the most conscientious customer service. No matter how wonderful the food or how warm and inviting the atmosphere, it is the server who manages a table and runs interference between the demands of a guest and the perfectionism of the kitchen that makes for a memorable evening.
We wish you well and in the words of Julia Child “Bon Appetit.”
The Fig Tree Family
There’s a lot that will be missed on this menu, particularly the Hickory Smoked Long Island Muscovy Duck entrée paired with the signature Fig Tree Cocktail.
This is a huge loss for Hoboken dining. We at hMAG would like to acknowledge the tremendous effort that went into the Fig Tree, and we wish only the best for the staff.
