CAN’T MAKE HERMINE UP — Potential Hurricane Leaves Labor Day Weekend Forecast Up in the Air

Do you have any big Labor Day plans? Do they involve sandbags?

We’re not trying to ruin your weekend here—just giving you a head’s up… Nothing is confirmed, but before you do make your way out of town for the long weekend, keep an eye on the local forecasts.

Tropical Storm Hermine is expected to strengthen into a Category 1 Hurricane before landing on the Florida Gulf Coast.

Once it cuts through the southeast, it should make its way into the Atlantic and possibly gather momentum as it churns up the coast. That’s where we need to pay attention here in New Jersey.

Riptides and the possibility of coastal erosion are currently a factor. As the storm plays out over the next few days, its path will become clearer.

Keep all this in mind as you head out for the long weekend…

Meanwhile, we’ll keep you updated on any possible impact for Hoboken.
